I'm glad you brought up the appearance, old johnny. That car just looks weird to me, but since no one else had commented on that, I figured my eyes were just bad.

I don't pretend to be a master of scale approximation for Ford Escorts, but the car looks odd. It's almost as though they laser-scanned a MicroMachines Escort and then up-scaled it. But if that body morphing was necessary in order to facilitate the glowing instrument panel, then that's one hell of a lop-sided trade-off.
