I like this. Stacked on a shelf they will allow more light to pass to the car below... good idea.

Very cool! Makes the car look more expensive.

That is a really good idea I think........
Now I'm wondering if I'd like that Lola as much as I do now in the old packaging. Hmmm...

All I know is I have to have that Lola, and at least one of the two new Porsche 914s.

It's a great idea but they absolutely need to add a protective clear plastic part over the car in the case, just like Slot.it, Racer, MR Slotcar and other manufacturers do. Or they have to make sure the car doesn't detach from the base in shipping. Because of this, I've had several SRC cars being damaged in transit and that cost me a lot of money as a seller. The last SRC cars I sold, I had to open the box before shipping (removing the shrinkwrap, which some customers were not happy about) to add additional protection inside the crystal case. Time-consuming.
Because of that and because of quality issues, I've stopped selling SRC cars for now and will re-evaluate when the classic F1 cars will come out.

I'd like to take this opportunity to volunteer for duty as the designated "busted beyond saleability" buyer. I bet there are other senior slot veterans who would jump at this, too... BUT I'M FIRST!!! So there!

I must be weird. All I want when I buy a slot car is the slot car. As far as I'm concerned put it in a cardboard box and spend the extra money, in this company's case, on making the running gear better. Or better yet knock $5 off the selling price.

Well spoken! They are easier to store when they are without the fancy case.
