I almost bought a 1:1 1967 XR7 in that same color. 390 V-8 with a 4 speed of course.
It was a good looking car, but I just could not hit the button.

I bought an all white Cougar a year ago to make this livery, then found out Scalextric was planning to do the Moffat Cougar. My version could never look as good as this car so now I'll repaint mine to be the yellow #79 livery - making 4 Cougars in my Trans Am series.
If anyone has, knows where I can get, or is willing to make 1/32 scale decals for the #79 below I'll trade you the #41 decals (from SLOTCARS4U before they closed) and make it worth your while.
Image is from the Historic Trans Am website.

Didn't realize that SLOTCARS4U was closing/closed?!?
I ordered from them last year - but hadn't ordered up anything yet this year - any idea what happened?

I think he just got too busy farming to keep up with his side business. A few years ago when he stopped production for a while, it was to make a big move. The pictures of his farm look ideal. I haven't heard from him in a while, but we used to email back and forth.

He's not farming but lives on property. Gardening would probably describe it better.
The issue just to put this to bed for the last time is that Alps printer support is gone, parts are very expensive as is ink. He is down to his last printer that works intermittently now. All that said, the Alps was one of the few quality printers and since they stopped making them something like 10 years ago and no replacements are to be found that can do true white at that price point - this day was coming.
Very sad!

I wonder what he's doing with the rest of that acreage? Last I heard from him he was down to the last printer, but I had the impression he was not giving up yet. He was really looking forward to working the land at the new place.

Wasn't there a an (expensive) Japanese printer that was supposed to be identicle to the Alps? Hoping someone can keep Tim going or pick up where he left of if he retires

Saw a guy on a facebook page show off his stash of ALPS cartridges....1200 or so.
He was feeling positive about the situation.
