BTW, I'm in my office at home all day today. I'm sure there will be a lot of questions so I've got a cup of coffee and i'm ready to do my best to give you all the answers...

Also a note on the "wrecker". The design is too preliminary at the moment to show. But suffice to say it's a 1/32 slot truck that will be a tow truck that will be able to tow cars around the track.

When can we expect this?

Ok so as to "when" for anything at the moment i'm not sure. Everyone at the company is at the show and I don't yet have a schedule for when things will arrive that i'm going to post.

That digital multi-lane start/finish is huge. No more squeezing a layout in to two lanes on the front-stretch. This could be huge, particularly to digital oval racing.

That classic Ferrari is amazing! I didn't see that coming, and it's very much welcome, especially being offered in two different body styles. I like the look of the driver too as he fits that era nicely. Carrera has done a great job of giving NART love over the years. Luigi Chinetti would be very proud.

It's also neat to see that chicane for 1/32 and 1/24 tracks. Go! has some really neat track pieces that add to the technical side of the racing, so it's cool to see that same thing come to the big tracks.

Honestly, there's not a thing on here that I don't like to some degree. Digital Torinos, a kickass looking Bel Air, the ode to cassettes M1, it's all making my wallet ache. Thanks for giving us all some things to drool over, Dave.

Perhaps indicative of my level of cognitive development, but when I read the comments about the wrecker, all I could think of was Mater:


Going back to that chicane, I have limited space so adding something like that will really liven up my laps. I'll certainly be getting one, and will probably give that barrel barrier quite the work-out.

Just those models coming back alone is a big deal for me.

Another good year for home racers. You can't please everyone, but Carrera at least tries.
