I ordered one of these too. I needed a natural competitor for the 289 Cobra that I bought a year or so ago. I came back a few hours later for a second bite at the apple. I ordered the Smokey'esque black and gold car too. I ordered both from Power Hobbies. At $31.99 apiece and their $2.99 shipping, they are a great deal. While I was at it I ordered a pair of Paul Gage tires to go on them when they arrive.

Yes, I saw that car, or a facsimile just like it, at the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca a couple of years ago.

It was owned by the current Corvette Racing team photographer Richard Prince who BTW is a HUGE fan of Carrera.

he lives in the NY city area and i'm hoping to visit him and do some pix of his massive track.

I was at the 1967 Sebring race! This is one to have.

I gotta say... the turn around at Carrera from the truly dismal "spinners" of 10 years ago is really impressive.
