I'm VERY happy that this car is finally breaking cover! The first in what I hope/plan to be a series of the modern Ford GTE with "heritage" colors. The c4063 is coming this year... :auto-driving:

I'm expecting Ford to run a few 'heritage' schemes at this year's Le Mans, for their swansong as a factory entry....

Pretty sure this will be one of them, but probably #66...... ( seems appropriate... )

I never thought of it before, but... YES! I'll buy them. That example looks fantastic, the professional touch of a D.Kennedy shot notwithstanding.

If they actually run the car in that livery at LeMans (or any other proper race) then I will be a buyer - if not I am not that interested in fantasy liveries.
I know it is hard for Scalextric because this car only has a handful of liveries but I would buy the Castrol or Motorcraft liveries before any of these.

I’m on the other end. Could care less if it races in 1:1. That just looks sharp.

Given how well they run to boot? I’ll take it.

Don't forget the "retro" Motorcraft liveries from earlier this year and there is one privateer team running at Le Mans this year(?) so a few more models available than the standard Motorcraft/Castrol liveries that have been run.

Like some guys, I prefer an actual livery or one that has a bit more decoration to, at least, highly suggest that it was an actual livery. But, these retro liveries are really well done, and I think it is a great use of the model to generate more return on the investment, which, in turn, means more money to spend on other potential cars and liveries. It's all good!!
