Back to 1/32 after a string of 1/24 builds.

Had this Avant Slot Porsche Kremer body for awhile so time to build a chassis to get this running. Building one of my adjust-o-wheelbase hybrid chassis using a 3d printed FF050 slimline motor pod. Found these inline chassis are suited for small and light cars yielding good performance.

Image

Cut, prepped and assembled the pieces including,

- .064" brass guide tongue
- 5/32" brass guide post tube
- 1/8" brass front axle tube
- 3/32" brass round front axle supports
- 3/32" brass round tube main rails
- .064" brass front cross member
- .064" brass rear cross member
- .062" piano wire front assembly sliders

Ran out of my usual 3/32" square brass for the main rails and front axle supports so going with what's on hand, 3/32" round.

Should be rolling soon.

Chassis's assembled and running.

Running components include:

- Scalextric Sport FF050 slimline motor, 25K, green
- Slot It 9t pinion gear for 1.5mm shaft
- Slot It 30t crown gear
- Avant Slot plastic front rims/tires
- Mitoos F1 aluminum rims with urethane copies of Fly March F1 rear tires
- Parma axle oilites, 3/32" x 3/16"
- Sloting Plus Univesal guide, 7mm deep

Goes well. Very responsive and smooth.

Adding flexi side pans for body mounts.

Flexi side pans of .032" brass cut to shape and attached.

Set up body for a tri-post mount.

Have found this uses the pan flex to advantage providing better handling. Have converted a number of previous builds from single rear post and handling has improved through the corners.

Haven't done timed runs yet but after some initial laps think it's going to be one of my faster scratch builds.

On to the next build.
