Those roaring Roadsters!

Gotta love those old track roadsters from the late 40's. It has to be one of my all time favorite genre's. Probably my most favorite car of all is the #101 car that still exists in a collection. I had an old body left from a green hornet model kit, and thought I would have a try at replicating it. My color blue is off a bit, but not by much. I will add some pices of the real car for comparison. here is what I have so far.

Excellent reproduction Bob. The wheels and tires are spot on, as are the overall body, motor, and chassis. With the placement of those pipes Chuck Hulse must be deaf, at least in his left ear.

I'd love to see a bunch of these cars racing together at low voltage on an oval with period correct signage and scenery. What a hoot that would be.
