Here's a thread to post what you plan to build out for this fun run and to show the progress that you make on your build(s).
I'll start it off with my "progress" ;)
Right now it's looking like two cars: a Chaparral Mk 1 and a C-type Jaguar. The Chaparral was a class racer up to 1962 and the C-type took first overall at Le Mans in 1953. Both resin bodies from John Warren (munter). Here are a couple pics of the cars:

It warmed up enough to paint a bit today, so I tried to get a few bodies painted that had been waiting. On the paint list was my two ROAR Merc's. Got one of them a little further along. Looks funny next to the other original car.

Nice job on the silver car, Bob. That's going to be an awesome 2-car entry!

Bob -
The silver REALLY looks nice on there!
I dug out two of the "damaged" Strombecker bodies yesterday to start on... After a "destickering" and thorough wash with Dawn dish soap - I have this as a starting point....

Have to fab up some injector stacks and exhaust for each of them (along with getting some driver heads) - but should make for a couple entertaining builds! :D

I have the mold for the drivers heads, but not the injectors. I also have the windscreens for that one I believe (vac-formed)
Holler when you get ready.

Looks like it's time to start working on these cars. I'm really looking forward to building out the Chaparral Mk1; I'm thinking inline chassis at this point. Probably a sidewinder in the Ferrari; it's just easier to go that way when you have the interior space. Still not sure that I'll end up with the Ferrari though ..............choices, choices.............

Somehow Allan, I think you will find a way! Great builds so far. I really like that Chaparral.

Ya, I like the Chaparral, too. I hated to grind off the spoiler, but it went down instead of diagonally out on this particular casting. I think I'm going to try to fashion one out of strip plastic. It won't be the most solid structure ever to grace a slot car, but it will add some realism..........at least until the first head-on crash.................... ;)

I ended up changing out of the C-type Jag and into a Ferrari 166, due to space limitation in the rear of the C-type. So, here's the new target second car:

I'm going to need a center driving light. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get one/make one...................?
