Postby davidadreger@gmail.com » Tue Dec 16, 2014 8:59 pm

Hi
Is there any value to these old tracks? (1/32nd scale) I have a couple sets from the 60's, they are ok shape.
I also have a Carrara 1/40 scale lane changer from around 2000.
thanks

Throw it up on eBay and you'll quickly find what it's worth at that moment. Good luck!

That is E-l-d-o-n, right?

Elron was the king of the elves in The Hobbit. LOL.

Slot car company from 60s was Eldon. Elven lord was Elrond (also w/ a 'd').

Throwing something on eBay to 'see what its worth' seems a bit much. It would be easier to use eBays search feature to look at successfully completed auctions of the same/similar item.

The cars can be worth $10-20 and up from there... The tracks are generally not worth much of anything and their weight adds up to make them even more difficult to sell due to shipping. Some complete sets might be worth something extra if they are rare (mint original Eldon drag race sets can be worth $1,000s).

I've occasionally bid on a set and told the seller just ship the cars and they can keep the rest if I won. Not worth the shipping cost.

Good luck

Eldon tracks are not as bad as people make them to believe
