YES! I built a similar Vette that runs in the Vintage Trans Am races, and those headlight covers drove me nuts for three days. If I knew about this one, this is the livery I would have chosen.

That would be a great one for Professor Motor. He already has the mold from the mono-revel cars.

Would you bet your slotcar-collection, that there will be no complaints about Carrera not knowing their cars / offering a cheap rip-off / will never learn the US market etc.?

Yes, there is always the famous complaint department. No matter how hard you try.
BUT I would take it. It would look like a classic race car, and for that it would be welcome in all the slot car boxes of the folks I know.
Since you started with the most attractive color combo there is, it is a hard act to follow :)
