I'd say lose the Minilites altogether and put some steel wheels on. And the mismatch will be important there, too.

Wow, that's pretty cool just the way it is and I'm on board with removing the chrome wheels.

If changing the wheels aren't an option then may I suggest a rust and pitted effect to the minilites.
That way the wheels will look aged like the rest of the car.
