Donate that extra track you have!!!

Guys - lots of chatter about having extra track lately. If you do have enough to put together a full set, please think about finding a kid that would love it to get them into the hobby!!! I've done that several times with the help of folks here as well as Carrera on Christmas (thanks!!!) and I can tell you that it makes a BIG difference to some of these kids.

If you've got extra cars too, give them a complete set if you can. Nothing has to be new, just in good working shape. If the used cars need some help, use that to teach the kid and their parent who probably has no clue slot cars exist. If you can get them into repainting a car, so much the better!!!

If you don't have a full set or cars, simply put out an All Points Bulletin here on HRW and I KNOW you'll have donations to help out in no time flat!

Growing the hobby is more important now than ever.

Used track is worth more in the hands of a would-be enthusiast than we can measure.

Carrera went to a little guy and his Dad just before last Christmas with a couple of hot rods.
Scaley with fly cars the Christmas before that to a grandfather and grandson.
Another Carrera 43rd to a young handicapped friend, And an Artin before that
I hope they are still at it, but I didnt see them at the hobby show this year.
Maybe at the December show I'll see them.
I know they were having fun just as rug racers but it is great family time.

I gave an SCX Nascar Tri oval set to a neighborhood kid just last month. I do have some Scaley Sport track that I could offer up but I do not have a power base, power supply or controllers. If someone else has the parts to go with mine, we might come up with a full set.
