The Scaley car I built has taught me a lot.I started off near the very back of the pack and now have progressed to the point where I am finishing in fifth place. The four guys in front of me are running brass chassis or HRS chassis. I am running on the Scaley chassis. I have upgraded to CB Wheels all four corners, Slot.it axles, Slot.it gears, racing bushings, piranha motor, slot.it guide, and PG tires. The only upgrades I have not done is adding an adjustable front axel and an independent front axle.
My Driving skill has improved to the point where I need a faster car to get into the top three places. In fact most of the guys can't believe how fast the car is on a Scaley chassis.
So I am ready to retire good old number 48 if I can get a replacement built before the next race.

I will eventually start building brass chassis but I'm not there yet. I decided on HRS chassis for now.
My first car is in testing and tuning stage. It is an SCX ARR Cuda body. Anglewinders are popular at my track right now. I'm not big on them, but two of the fastest car use them. An angle winder fits in this car so I thought why not. It has a Flat 6 RS motor in it. It is also the first car I have built with an independent front axle.

It has tested well. It still is going to need some tweaking before it is faster than my Scaley. The body had some sticky residue on it while testing and ended up getting covered in tire rubber from the track. I was going to wipe it off but I left it because it kind of looks cool. The car was geared for too much top end. I have since changed the gearing and look forward to seeing what this car can do. I think it has some great potential.
The next car I am building is another Scaley Camaro. I have put an inline HRS chassis in it. All the usual racing parts. I have also used the same RS motor. It just needs the interior to be put in and then its ready for testing. I haven't even driven this car yet but I already think I know that I will like it better. I guess only the testing will say for sure.
