Well, adding to the new features or unexpected items on the car, the rear tires were glued or otherwise adhered to the rims. As I pulled them off with much effort, black flakes fell. The rim was left with blotches of black gunk that had to be sanded off on my tire truer. It's a good thing that Razor Jon invented the Wheel Buddy accessory, because that saved what otherwise would have been a lot of scraping to get it off of the inside of the rim.
I didn't take photos because I just wanted to get the car done and on the track. But if you buy a new Slot.it release and plan on changing the rears, expect the unexpected step of having to sand your aluminum wheels clean before installing your new rubber.
