Getting Started Series - New Track at HRW

After much deliberation this is the set I bought. Just arrived today so of course I opened it up and tried it out. Set up as an oval. Didn't want to mess around with the over pass. Didn't use the connecting clips. Just unpacked, plug and play. Awesome out of the box experience. For now, I am satisfied. Will set it up properly this weekend.

Great news. Always cool to hear a new track up and running.

The track and table top I built is now going to a new home. My grandson is wanting it at their new home and now that they are settled in, they made a space for it and was asked to deliver it.

So on Christmas Eve the track will be set up for its new owner. Will be a fun Christmas I think.

Just getting into the 1/32 world have always been exclusive HO guy, getting a new carrera dust up set for christmas "santa told me" have one simple question how does the parma womp cars work on these tracks?

They don't really. You will need a new power supply and silicone tires to get them to run even close to what you remember.

are they worth the headache or would we be better off building off of the carrera cars?

I don't think so, but never much of a fan of any commercial stuff. You might give the Carrera models a try, they are easy tuned and fun.

i just like the different body designs custom modifieds and sprintcars and such but really looking forward to getting started with the carrera home set

I have a Carrera set and use all types of cars and brands. Just not commercial track cars. NINCO, Fly, Scally, Racer, Monogram, etc. work great. Even some of my old Eldon and Strombecker cars are fun. Enjoy your set. You will like it.

Harry...you told me a couple of years ago how much you enjoyed racing with your Grand kids . Well you were so right. My grandson started his Carrera Racing Career at 19 months by pushing on the controller with his palm and listening to find were his car was . Now at 21 months he uses his thumb so that he can turn the headlights of and on about 1000 times . He likes to put on 3 cars at once and follows them all .I have to give the Slot Car Hobby props for the smile it puts on not only his face but mine .I now have a race partner for life .
