Here is 1967 Formula 1 Champ Denny Hulme, driving Smokey Yunick's black and gold "City of Daytona" 1967 Eagle (a car Hulme would compete against in F1 that year) at Indy (a slot car series of his "City" cars over the years at Indy would be great):



I guess Smokey got into truck racing before the rest of the guys in NASCAR (no surprise, I guess):



One of the biggest thrills of my career was when Smokey accepted an invitation to come to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and interview me for Circle Track Magazine, and said in the article that I "worked my a_s off for the racers".
