cantstops new saturday night short track car builds

The Chevelle got sanded down, went easier than I thought it would. Spot putty sure sanded down smooth.

I then smoothed the top of the hood, then cut some styrene to fit. I will probably add another layer to it. Then shape it to be like a cowl induction hood. I used super glue and it stuck to fast so it's a little crooked. Going to get some slower setting C.A. glue tomorrow. I still have to grind out the back then add a rear spoiler.

Got a little more done on the chevelle. Added another piece on the hood scoop and sanded to shape, going to smooth it in with spot putty. Did some more sanding around the rear window removing the 'crome' strips.

Liking the way it's coming along, more to do tomorrow. Going to try and add the late model/sportsman front and the rear spoiler.

This is where it sits now, going for the"Sportsmans" dirt track look. Waiting for glue to fully set-up before I start pouring resin. I did put these pics in the oval area to see what they if thought before I pass the point of no return. LOL.

It is a fantasy dirt track car, I started watching the late models on tv and thought they where cool. I also like a lot of these types of builds here on Homeracingworld. I want to do some others for my oval that has moved to my garage.
