SF, if you post pictures of the components you have (carts and battery holder) I might be able to better help you.
At the beginning I used the 9v battery holders and I plugged the RED/BLACK banana clips into the holder.
But I have to say, the controller is quite power angry and it would not last too long.
Now I have sockets for the banana clips under the track table and the power is supplied by a dedicated 9v power supplier.
The SCP201l is an oXigen receiver that allows you to plug in it any SCP compatible cartridges and connect to your oXigen controller.
For instance, you could put in the receiver your analog cartridge and plug it into your analog track station.
Then you can connect your oXigen controller to the receiver and you can control your analog cars on your analog track wirelessly.
This still requires that you have portable power for your SCP (like the 9V battery holder).
