I finally got together with Alwyn today during his visit to Québec City. And he gave me the wonderful poster you all signed for me. That's a very nice gift and I appreciate it very much. It will find a place on a wall around my track.

Alwyn is too humble when he says that he did not get comfortable on my track. For the first 7-8 minutes, I was playing the rabbit for him to try and catch me. In the last 5 minutes, I was the one chasing him. I've never seen someone learn my track so fast (and some great drivers drove on it, Smokeio not being the least of them!).

I had a great day with Alwyn and his wife Esmé. We had never met face to face but it was like I was meeting an old friend for the 20th time. It was a pleasure to show them around this beautiful city that I have the chance to live in.

Quebec City is an amazing place. Like New Orleans, Montreal, San Francisco or Seattle, you feel like its a priviledge to be there. And unlike anywhere else in North America, it has the same crime rate as Disney World. No kidding, it really does. Glad you got to see it, Alwyn, and Christian, we all knew you would be a great host.

It's funny you bring up the crime rate. I was just telling Alwyn about it during our visit. A few years ago, we had a run of 4 straight years without a single murder in the city. Read that again: 4 years, no murder, in a city of almost a million people. And the murder that broke the streak was an infant found in a trash can. Pretty horrible, but still not a crime by weapon. I don't think any city of this size in North America can beat that sort of crime rate.

Glad to see our “delivery boy” delivered the package. He’s quick guy on the track too, eh?!

While a small token of everyone’s appreciation, we are fortunate to have people in the hobby like yourself who spread goodwill through out the hobby.

Quebec City is definitely on our bucket list to visit, looks like a wonderful Fall...as opposed to the white stuff threatening us.
