I can see my workbench!!

How long has it been since you've had the pleasure of seeing the top of your slot car workbench? This doesn't happen often to me; so I thought it was worth capturing; if for no other reason than to juxtapose against those "what a mess" comments that have a way of arising a lot of the time...………



Can anyone else see the top of theirs...………..? :lol:

NOT a chance. Mine is at least 3 layers deep. So i built another one, and it os now 2 layers deep, so i buit one on wheels usi g 2 old kitchen cabinets underneath.
It is full too. I am now using tv trays as well.
I whall copy your picture for my aspiration and motivation file lol

Like Bob (chappy) I too have multiple work spaces so cluttered new ones had to be added. Haven't been able to work at my desk in years, so I got a small Ikea computer deck and put casters on it for taking out on the deck to work on projects when the weather is nice. Once upon a time I had space in front of and beside the flat screen computer monitor - no more, now it wouldn't even be usable if it didn't have a pullout keyboard drawer. A small Ikea TV dinner type table was next, then a 6' folding table I set up 'temporarily' when flattening a McLaren chassis. That was many months ago and there's about a 12" square space left I can just fit a plate on for a sandwich while watching a game in TV.

I'm about to force myself to clear off the big table and put it away so I have no choice but to reclaim the smaller Ikea table. Then I'll have to clear that off or have no place to eat in front of the TV. That will become my default slot car work space because the other two are lost causes for now.
