Mine just arrived in the mail an hour ago after a four day sub-zero usps trip. I report one loose wheel insert and one loose mirror within the case. The front wheels were tight enough to not turn freely but would turn with little effort. I backed the front wheels off slightly so they turn freely and checked the chassis for straightness & it's okay.

Sorry to hear about the troubles w the new slot it cars as I have just a handful of slot it cars and all have been flawless when i received them. I too ordered the new Porsche 962 and will be getting it tomorrow via usps. I will report on condition when I receive. Best of luck as I think they are great cars!

Yes that is not normal for Slot it. Send email to slot it thru their website and or PM slot it here. He does not watch this forum much.
Sounds like the front axel is too short and the assemblers are pressing the front wheels on, it is binding the posts.
The assemblers probably have the wrong axels. With the mirrors and spoilers and inserts loose in the box, Slot it would want to know about the assembling issues and correct it.
pictures would help

Well I received my 962 today and it’s perfect! The front axle was tight but was easily freed up. I find most of the slot it cars are like that in my experience.I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Really cool car and runs really smooth. I did notice the magnet is a little thinner than other models. My son likes to race as well and likes the magnets:) so I switched to the standard 06 mag. Good luck!
