Scaleauto white kit - Spyker C8

Just got my Scaleauto Spyker C8 white kit to re-body my BMW Z4.



Parts are crisply molded with little flash. The C8 comes with body panels to do either a coupe or targa. Unfortunately, no assembly instructions are provided.

Z4's chassis fits fine without change to front or rear track.

Came in at around 17 euros so that's not bad for a comprehensive body kit.

Think I'll paint it blue with Repsol decals.

I have the team set they made. What I liked about these bodies was the short overhang on the rear, which is similar to the NSR Moslers. They are great running cars, but I couldn't get to run as good as the Moslers.

The C8's long front overhang was a feature that caught my interest for a re-body.



My Z4's adjustable guide tongue's around 3/8" further and seems to aid handling.

Yeah, the adjustments they built into the chassis is awesome. You can use the stock pod, or you can use a Slot.It pod. It'll accept all 3 drive configurations, and has many adjustable features such as the guide tongue as you mentioned. Not only is the front axle height adjustable, but also the wheelbase.
Scaleauto did a great job making a chassis that adapts to many cars, and yet is a very good performer.

Test fitted the roof/rear deck and windscreen pieces. The former's a bit twisted at the back.



The order of assembly looks to have the windscreen attaching to the roof\rear deck and then onto the main body. So, I'll have to primer and paint finish pieces separately.

Not a big deal.
