Suspension on rough tracks has more of an effect. Those who run plastic get performance out of suspension, like on Ninco's rallye track, same effect.
I'm looking for realism and rough tracks are the most common so keepin' it real. It's a definite advantage in the right setup, imho $0.02

An I always thought that the suspension went set up properly would help on any track. The only problem I see in using springs is the bonce factor as I call it where the spring continues to stay in motion without any dampening installed. So I tried some magnets to have the same effect which allows the rear to oscillate from the front and also slide fore and aft. Then the plastic flexibility allows the front wheels to move up and down independently.

It probably won't work like others have said about the suspension but it was fun drawing it up the past three weeks so now its off to print it out and assemble and see what happens.

Damping and rebound were solved when Slot.it used the small round magnets placed vertically in opposition to one another (CH09).
We set it up for a 24 hour in a HRS1 with a big block FK with as much separation between the suspension magnets for the softest setting.
We were racing on wood on an 80' Windsor and won with a C5 'Vette.
The car felt like it was hooked up better with compliant suspension and the results proved it.
