Guide pins to replace Carrera's

On my wood track ,Scaley's run in the guide fine. However...when I place my Carrera in the slot the guide is to long and to thick. I cut the pin shorter but still to thick !
I really like a few of the Carrera muscle cars and wish to add them to my little collection.
So what are your suggestions ?

My Carrera Mustang was purchased last fall and his a digital chip in it so it is newer.

EVO cars (analog) will come starting this year with the red guide as the replacement guide in the back hatch of the case the cars come in.

So....is there a guide pin that is as thin as a Scaley's and easily snapped in place available ? TY
