Congrats!

My 3 & 4 year old granddaughters love "playing wit the race cars wit Papa" whenever they visit.

That's great Chappy! I'm sure that will be a moment your grandson will fondly remember all his life.

Yes sir, this is good stuff.

Sometimes those "cheap" little cars become priceless don't they? :)

...so what you're saying is that when we finally have grandkids, my wife will finally pick up a controller...?

That is awesome! Glad to see you kept his attention with it!

Wifely racing depends on the number of lanes....I happen to have three, so when he got so excited he could hardly stand still (because he was staying on the track and "beating Papa") we needed the other car for more challenge, I guess. I made the mistake of using a stick to reach a car on the other side of the track, and then every crash required "the stick" to put the car back in the lane. Whooops.
Still, there are worse things......I have home movies of me racing with my sister on the Marx 1/24 set in our basement, so hopefully I can keep his interest for a few more years.

However, my wife occasionally races with me anyway....but she won't be building anything soon like The General. My wife is tolerant and indulgent and she will occasionally humor me with racing, but that's it.

Great video! Starting young is the word around here, too.
I had given all of my HO stuff to my Great-nephew 2 years ago (he was 5). He kept the set at "Grannies" house and I'm told he gets it out whenever he's there. So, last weekend was his 7th birthday and we gave him an SCX DTM 1/43 set with 2 additional NASCARs....my niece tells me he loves it and we might even get his dad interested.
