Johnny defining a classic is in the eye of the holder I believe. 50-70 to me is a classic maybe even earlier.... Most these cars are the ninco classics. The kinda set the stage for the classics in my opinion.

I'm kind of base it on the Ninco Classics selection too. Usually '50s and '60s. Usually small roadsters or convertibles that are equally at home touring or racing. They were inexpensive and fun. The XK120 probably is borderline on the price range when it was new, but it was competitively battling on the track for 2 or 3 decades which means it fits in.

To me it's the Ferrari that doesn't fit. It was a rich man's toy.

I call 50s-60s the classics....the mold set by the Ninco and Carrera cars. Early Ferraris fit in my world but not the later ones. As can be told by my collection I tend toward the more obscure and/or "what if" or fantasy rides.

The era for me is also 50-60's. I think the term "classic" personifies the vehicles that had mass appeal. You rarely hear of a classic Saab Sonnet or Thames panel from 1959. But a classic corvette or a classic 356...etc. etc... All cars have a soft spot in someone's heart, but I think the Usual suspects are the true classics.
