I love the work you've done so far, but then again air cooled VW's are among my favorite cars. I think this is going to be very cool when finished. 8-)

Me, too. I had no idea how much fun it would be to build an all-out, loopy crazy creation and add loads of detail to make it believable. There actually have been aircooled aircraft engines on Pike's Peak Hillclimbers in the past, and they did pretty well sometimes, but of course none of them had the horsepower or weight of a 583 c.i. monster like this. This variant of the Thunderbolt is an air racer/aerobatic specialty engine. Completely inappropriate.

I'm still trying to cram a driver and roll bar as well as a front axle holder into this teensy little rat. I think I have the roll bar just about right, with 10 precision bends. My fingers ache.
