However, having rules that state that part should be sympathetic of the original look of the car is the way to go.
I race digital and I know what it means to break wings or lose mirrors. But we are allowed to build our own in rubber for instance.
Having a rule that disqualify a car because does not have the original wiper seems a bit excessive to me, especially if you are racing a class where the makers does not support spare parts.

I’m hoping to hear back from scalextric this week about spares,I won’t hold my breath. Why you wouldn’t make extra parts during production seems odd,I’m sure things Get broken during assembly so they must have some extra parts unless they just send the model out “as is”. I’m going to guess that spare parts aren’t profitable for them. I really wanted to drive this car so i robbed some parts from a car I don’t drive much. It’s a good car now that the offending parts have been changed. I usually don’t make a big deal about broken parts but this car was terrible right out of the box. This car couldn’t have been checked by QC,or was it.

Also harry,thanks for the revo slot info,our club is looking for a new series to run. Revo slot cars were on the list but after reading about your issue with the company its off. To bad,nice looking cars.

Just got an email back about parts-NONE. Are you kidding? This model is new,not 10 years old. How do you not have parts available. They referred me to to someone in the uk that MIGHT be able to help. Really? Like i said,not bashing scalextric, but truly frustrating. Imagine buying a 1-1 car,breaking something and the dealer says they don’t have parts.

Harry i know its over seas but Pendles do have an assortment of Revoslot spares advertised.

Thanks Bob, yes I found those thanks to you sir! Also found some at 132slotcar, but the upright I need isn't listed. Not that I SHOULD have to purchase it as it was a FACTORY defect.

Plus, I don't see any other dealers stocking the spares, which indicates not much demand sadly.

But when I contacted them and was promised a part...and never appears? Can't wave a flag in that direction.

I like the cars, just not a fan of the service. Just like old Fly. Love them...as long as I have a good source of aftermarket parts to repair/improve.

Shouldn’t someone be able to go to a sellers website and be able to buy a part OR be given a list of dealers that have the part. How much research should you have to do To find a part. A small parts/spares list with part numbers included with models would be nice.

I know most of the Revoslot stuff is marketed under Revoslot and also BRM 1_32 parts. Since they make most of the metal parts for Revoslot.
It really is an issue, even with Carrera when the new Cobra came out. As hard as i tried i couldnt get a rear axle assembly, even Dave couldnt assist back then as they just weren't out there. I too have a Marcos, and awaiting a Porsche from Revoslot.
No im wondering if i have gotten myself into a bit of a spot.

Well Bob, shouldn't think so. I have bought 4. They run great with the new Quick Slicks tire, and are solid. Unless you are looking to heavily modify, they should last you quite a long time.

Perhaps the parts/service will improve over time. They are a new player. I hope thats the case. But so far my dealings 1 on 1 just isn't sending the wind up my podium. :)
