Too funny...anybody care to come and race? Lets see how your stuff holds up. EVERYBODY who I race with (and we race hard) all has the issues I have spoken about. My shop is open to all commers if you wanna put your cars to a test...For what ever its worth...the cars do not break because of crashing...the oldest body I have is still very presentable...as previously stated the wheel hubs split out and fall off due to g forces and the chassis breaks at the rear axle bushings and the motor pod breaks easily too. But anyway stop by and race some time and see how fast your cars are. Oh I forgot...they weren't designed for real slot car racing I was told.

Waay - after seeing that photo you posted it's obvious your HRW username fits perfectly. If there were AA meetings for slotters we'd give you a standing ovation.

Tom - I don't think anyone is doubting what you're saying, others have just had different experiences. In my slot car racing experiences things have broken from crashes, perhaps that's because I'm a conservative racer who tries not to push too hard. I was blessed to have won a lot back during my club and commercial track days but never drove a car faster or harder than needed. I built strong and fast cars, then committed myself to staying on the track more than pure speed. After a race someone would ask, "you didn't come off once did you?" and my answer would be "Nope". I'm the goofball that would rather lose driving a clean race than win after crashing 10 times - seems more realistic to me. That's why I could never get into video games where you can crash hard and a second later you're back in the race charging for the win.

I would love to race at your place someday and have fun trying to hang with your crew.

I have had chassis crack. Hard racings and Piranha motors can do that. Never lost a wheel. I picked up a Scaley set at a thrift shop with the camaro and mustang. Found that the camaro had been stepped on. Roof was crushed in a bit. Chassis was cracked. Still ran decent and raced it a few times. How are you prepping your cars Tom? And what voltage do you race them? Scott
