New Carrera Capri

Carrera has a nice collection of classic eurocars with interesting liveries. It's a real pity though that nearly all of them have those extra-wide boxy fenders. They destroy the shape of beautiful cars.
The original Capri, BMW 2002, Alfa GTA, Opel Manta & GT, VW Beetle, Pantera, etc, all have beautiful bodies with classic shapes. Is it really necessary to add boxy oversized fenders or wings to all of them?

Question for Dave really I guess. These recent releases by Carrera don't seem to be available in the UK. Is there any way us UK folk can find out what we are going to be offered ? The major suppliers here don't have anything listed.

You might want to do what some of us in the States do: Purchase cars from the other side of the pond.

I'm sure that would work for you. I know it does for us.

On the Monza question, I posed it on another forum.
Seems the Monza was not a good seller anywhere but the US and we won't see one again.

I wonder if Dave Kennedy saw the Brad Frisselle Monza in the garage at Road America.

I think the term "never say never" is a good one to follow. I have seen models come back or that are produced I thought we would never see. Even some that I was told specifically would NEVER be made.

If they come back, GREAT. Would welcome them with an open box :)

If not, I understand. There are newer molds and models people want as well. So since they cannot make them all they have to decide.

Do I think they would be smart to bring back? Sure...but then again I can name about 5 other older Carrera's I feel the same way. And none of them are street models either, I want a race car thank you :)

Dave, now if we can only get Carrera to do Dino Crescentini's Alfa from SCCA and my 914. (OK I know I'm dreaming but what the heck you gotta have dreams).
