Yeah, Dave, I have a "decal spray" from an art shoppe that does the same thing but its thinner. I used it from the point where they started screwing up to the end. It worked, but there's a little fringe on the hood number that will have to be cut off. Thing is, the Pioneer decals have no business being in that shape in such a short time. Ticks me off, considering the care with which I store decals.

Hey Dave, do you remember the TV commercials, "Barrrr--- Dahl!"? Guy with a square jaw, shady beard, goofy hat?

This was a good Friday for me. I have been fighting a skin infection in my lower right leg since late in July and the doctor has had me taking antibiotics that my stomach doesn't tolerate well. That along with orders from the doctor to keep my leg elevated as much as possible has meant that I haven't been to DeBary Glen in almost two weeks. But tonight I grabbed my new Sideways DP car and went to the track. I spent most of the evening straightening things up but managed to get in some driving time. It sure was nice to get out of the house for a while.

I'm sorry i thought I had made this post. The move is off. The landlord couldn't promise more than 12 months availability and under those circumstances we agreed to go our separate ways. So now in anticipation of having to vacate the current location next August I will start by scaling back to one track. Sometime this fall I will be disassembling the Scalextric track and storing it. I will then concentrate on making the mdf track better and improving the space to allow racers to have a pit area when visiting.

Not much going on this weekend. I finally caught up with most things. I'm sure my projects think I have abandoned them. Supposed to rain all weekend, so will have plenty of indoor time. :)

Cleaning the track, then testing and qualifying some pony cars for a proxy race here in Maine.

Followed through: Dug out my slot stuff and took inventory.

* Discovered that I had some (analog) slot cars I had forgotten about.

* In one of the boxes I found $12 in cash in an envelop (an overpay refund).

* Found some Ninco stuff I hadn't seen in years.

* Assembled half curves of Carrera R3 (I think?) curves with outer borders and clipped them together. These are now stored upright behind some shelves for quick retrieval when the time comes to throw a temporary track up.

* After inventory, I now know what I need to purchase so that five of us can race D132 at the same time. (One more hand controller, a couple cars, and a speed controller extension.)

In all, a pretty productive day. (Productive given the way I do things!)
