I went with 20126's the 125's didn't fit well over the ribs in my opinion.

The great thing about this slot car is that it doesn't require much tuning. All I did, other than changing the rear tires, was adding grub screw at the locations provided to control the front axle height.

did yours have the often-missing rear bracket? the one that I bought from PH doesn't.

It was missing on mine but SCC sent it when they came in free of charge. To be honest, prior to its arrival I just screwed the motor mount to the chassis the same way a slot.it motor mount is attached and it ran fine. I assume the bracket stiffens the the chassis a bit behind the motor mount but I didn't notice any change after attaching it.
