I get a lot of questions from (very kind) people, asking if there will be a Pipguide, or Pipguide Chassis for X car from Y brand. I have asked myself these questions as well, since I also have a lot of different cars from Fly, Proslot, Scaleauto etc. that aren’t compatible yet. I am not sure if I will ever be able to design, prototype and test a Pipguide Chassis for all those cars. In the mean time, I think the best way to go, is to develop a universal chassis.

The current prototype V3 allows a wheelbase from 73.4mm (Fly Porsche territory) to 92.4 (slightly longer than a Slot.it Lola Aston Martin). You can screw or glue the two parts together. I am going to include a set of body posts that one would cut to the right length and glue inside the body. Anyway, I hope you guys like where this is going. picture time!

Quick update: I have added stops, because people kept asking for it :lol: At first I didn't want to, because I liked the idea that the car could spin out if you're not careful, a bit like a real car, but eventually the pressure was just too much ;)

To Pipguide a Carrera type car. Not original Carrera, because there is a home crafted chassis with Slot.it 4WD system.

very intresting CF chassis there. Did you make it your self? CNC or how did you get holes lined up and straight?
I like the PIP slot chassis also, waiting for the universal chassis to be come available

Yes, I made it myself. To have a 4WD DTM car! Later I discovered that 4WD DTM cars are non-existing.
And yes, the model also desperately needed a Pipguide... So I started re-tinkering
I only used small handtools and a small Proxxon bench drill.
Not everything is 100% straight and lined up!!!
Waiting for the new universal chassis too.

A quick update: The new prototype for the universal pipchassis is a big step in the right direction. There are just some minor tweaks to be made before it can be unleashed to the public :)
