"Isn't that the car that won the Targa Florio Proxy Series?"

Correct, Mikey.

Between Doug and I, those two cars won every round of the Class A Division of the inaugural Greater Vancouver Slot Car Club Targa Florio Proxy, an event conceived by the late Keith Hines and some of his friends at GVSCC.

Doug is being modest in his response above; several of the races for 1st and 2nd were very close between Doug's 917 Spyder and my 908/3.

I think that my advantage was that I used a CG SlotCars chassis under the FLY 908/3 body which allowed me to use a Slot.it sidewinder pod and gears. I have fond memories of Keith, that Proxy and those two cars.

I thought so! That car is SICK! I watched all the footage I could find of it on Youtube, and followed the action closely. It was amazing how well that car handled every track.

When I do race flyers I often use pictures that have been processed with an emboss filter. For variety I sometimes change the hue to get a bronze finish.
