Harry, your review of the Mirage is spot on. I don't know what the rpm and torque rating of that orange Avant Slot motor is but it is really too much for even my 55' mdf track. I have remotored one of my Kremers with a Scaleauto 21.5K rpm motor and it is almost tame. I actually turn faster laps with the slower motor. Also, something of note the wheel base of the Kremer is about 1/4" longer than the Mirage and I think that helps with the cornering.

The car you bought is one of several I have had my eye on. I want to get one myself as they are very nice running cars and are easily set up.

On my even smaller track, the MT5 is the hot ticket. I also threw in an older NC-2 and the results the same. And your lap time findings are the repeated here as I turn a quicker lap.

Placed my first order with Dave at RMS. Wanted to do brass chassis but injury won't let me do that yet. So I got these to use, I think they will work. Saturday night short track builds will start again!
