Well, been a long week. My 1:1 job has changed and having to spend many hours there sure has taken me away from the Skunkworks. But that's ok, looks like some easier times coming up and things might come back to normal soon.
Few new releases coming in and will share my thoughts as usual. Some brand new, some not so new. I am going to start featuring older releases that are still available that we might have missed. Good info that newcomers and maybe some of you old school guys might enjoy.
Plenty of projects on the bench to say the least. Still have a modified to finish as well as 3 or 4 other resin castings that need to be on the track soon.
Thanks Shotgun Dave for all the help with old HRW. Somebody has to clean up around here while I am out goofing off, and he has done a great job. Thinking of doubling his current salary. :)
Hope you all have a great weekend. I'll be trying to tune, build and race a lot this weekend.

I'm shivering and shaking here. It's cold outside! Of course it's going to get worse. Now they are saying freezing rain and ice headed our way, on boy I can hardly wait. I'll work on a few projects in the mean time. I have plenty of them. I'm currently working on a VW New Beetle convertible and a Carrera Cheetah. Carrera really needs to do some cars with a sidewinder motor mounting, and this is one of them. :)

My to-do list is huge. Spent from 9:pm Wednesday, till 11:29 Thursday, at the hospital with my youngest daughter, My first Grandson was born! (I have two granddaughters).
I am waiting on more resin to finish up everybody's cars that I have not got to yet. still need to do the reviews on the P-BOP Cars, Pan Am cars coming in almost everyday also. so I have had little build or race time. Still have the two Grand girls and their Momma staying with us till new orders are received from the Army. so that is a constant task as well. Coming on the site to see what everyone is building and racing is about the only relief from all the stress! Looking forward to some races coming up that should be fun, A new one is in the planning stages right now, and the ROAR Race is going to be fun as well!
Not enough time in the day right now, but it will calm down.
Hope everyone has a great weekend
Bob

Got up early today to go to physical therapy. Wow is it cold outside! They are saying -20 to -30 with wind chill and I believe it. The kids have been off school yesterday and today so they are inside hibernating. My oldest daughter Abbey just finished up her competitive ice skating season taking 2nd place at Notre Dame two weekends ago. Their team placed 9th in the Midwest at sectionals out of 24 teams. We are real proud of her and happy we get a break from traveling for awhile now.
I have a bunch of stuff to share Ho wise with my hot wheels late model sportsman builds and with all the help from members here in swaps to get my 4 lane ho oval completed with track pieces I needed. My wife and I will be going to Best Buy shortly to get a new tower do to our old computer crashed and I am borrowing my sister in laws lap top currently. So shortly I will have a lot of pictures to post from all my ho builds.
BADLHOBBY in Middleburg Heights Ohio 10 minutes from me has now opened their new store front with 3 large ho road courses to run on. Bob the owner has said there has been a loose knit group of guys getting together on Saturdays racing whatever everyone has brought with them. I am going to try and get up there tomorrow for some ho racing. I wanted to go last weekend but it was a complete white out blizzard and decided to stay put at home.
I go back to work March 18th tentatively so with physical therapy going well and everything healing well I am finally feeling better on the road to recovery.
Everyone stay warm and have a great weekend!

Its winter now thats for sure, 10" of snow, sleet and ice on the way, tundra type temps, I love it. Got far too many "open" projects to list with more bodies on the way. Worst part about the weather is the mailman is delayed bringing my stuff!!
The best news is that my 13yo grandson broke the box on his first build, a 1/24 Nascar truck, we've been racing them on Thursdays and he figured its time to build his own, his colors, his decal ideas etc. My goal is to show him a few things and stay the heck out of his way! Looking forward to getting it on the track with him.

Insanely cold here. Its been all week since I could move a vehicle, and my driveway is still 8 inches deep with an ice crust on top. Minus 6 last night, wind chill minus 15 today at 20 degrees for a high. My shop has all the heat on and its still 50 in there. I'm going stir crazy in here.

Well it snowed here Monday and has been below freezing all week. Main roads have been clear since Wed but this is my cul de sac. We are to get snow starting around 3 PM Friday turning to freezing rain around 5 PM. 1 inch snow then 1 inch of ice. Saturday is to break above freezing with rain. Maybe my street will get cleared with temp above freezing and rain.

Have a great weekend everyone, Congrats Grandpa Bob, my next one is due in April, and boy or girl I just know it will be a slot racer .
Very cold up here north of the border , mother nature flexing her muscles.
Best advice relax and be careful, but do something slot related.

Sure is TGIF here in GA. Getting snow on the ground as I write this. Sure wish I was in NW CA.
Anyhow, Happy Birthday, Jon !! and super congrats to Bob. He's a lucky boy.
For me, Grandson #2 arrives in Apr. And yes, there's at least 10 cars with his name on them waiting!!!
Best regards to all,
Rob

I know how you feel Boss. My new job takes a lot of my time plus travel.
I'm not complaining though. I love it and at least I have a job.
Thankful for that.

Work loads, no kidding! We are back to working 7 day work weeks and our whole plant has one day off scattered throughout the week depending on seniority. I have Fridays off but with only one day off trying to make time to do anything else but chores and time with the kiddos is almost impossible. Thankful I have a job but sure would like to have a little more time off to do something fun.
