Ha I've been looking all night. The bay has two in Europe for over $55 us plus shipping. More then il pay. But I'm going to keep on it. It's a sharp car!

JPS? Uh-oh.

I owned a BMW 635 gray market (Euro spec) car several years ago. It was a very capable car on the road and always turned a few heads. Too bad it was eaten up with rust. I really wanted the Spirit model, but I can't deal with the Jagermeister logo, so I let it pass. Now, with the JPS livery I will have finally get a model of that beautiful automobile. BTW, the Spirit BMW 2002 models are the absolute best renderings of that car. Too bad Spirit entered the market at such a tough time in world economics.

So, one can expect to top out at around $100 to get one of these and then make the mods to get it into racing condition. But I do like the JPS livery.

Yeah, a C-note isn't necessary. They've always been tunable for a lot less money than that. One of my better wood track cars is a Spirit 936 that I raced in Cincinnati. Pulled some urethanes off another car, slapped them on the stock 936 right before the race (they sort of fit, kind of), and walked away from a field of thoroughly tuned/modified Fly cars. Did the chassis suck? Yep. Guide? Yeah, not so good. Braids? Rigid, not fluffy. But the balance was there, and the wheels were round enough. Braking was light, and the circuit called for good brakes.
