Darn thats impressive, and the prices back then.
It begs the question,,,, where are they now ?
I guess in the heydays of Slots there were a lot more specialty parts available.
Now its up to our inhouse designers and thank goodness we have them.

Very neat Rob.
Had a talk with the guys today about all the great models we are seeing these days.
The amount of folks scratch building is fun to see. What is really interesting is many of us mix building and ready to run. The combo leads to a very diverse collection when you peek into the slot boxes folks bring along.
Seeing this older stuff is just fun and the designs still work if you want to try your hand at it.

I agree. The mix of RTR and scratchbuilds really makes the hobby for me.
By the way, according to the US Treasury, that $2.95 in 1965 is equivalent to over $22 today. I thought it would be more.
