TGIF - Any fun plans?

Another week in the ye olde books. Not much new to talk about but did make progress on a couple projects.

Hopefully I can get my modified Vega on the track this weekend. May not finish it, but at least some tuning before the paint booth.

I have some special cars that just arrived and will tune them as well. Nothing that special really, just a fun class for around here.

If all the Mod wars cars show up by Noon tomorrow, I will be running them. That will be fun! Otherwise, I will be catching up on some casting, as i am still so far behind on body's. Anyone waiting on vintage coupes and sedans will hopefully be a little closer to getting them.
Shipped out the Pan Am cars today, they are headed to Tennessee for the next leg of the race.
More Rain forecasted for us Saturday, so its Hobby time for sure. (no grass cutting)

Hoping to do some routing on a little test track I'm working on, got to play a little with my McLaren F1 Gulf car last night. Awesome! May try to pull of heading up near Clevland Sunday for the Slot car show but that's a less likely option with Garage work needing done. :(

Daughter is a high school basketball player for one of the best teams in the country. (A little bragging, they did great this year; undefeated in their league and 26-1 overall, lost in the Southern California Championships to the team that won the state; that team has two girls already signed to go to UConn and there were no seniors on my daughters team. Most of her team is sophomores and freshman).

Son has a tennis tournament this weekend.

I have a tennis tournament this weekend and the Ojai tournament is this weekend (Forest hills of the West). I hope to get there and watch but don't think with the other stuff going on I'll make it.

So all-in-all just another dull weekend here with very little to do. :music-rockout:

Garden day tomorrow...Sunday I'll work on a few chassis builds and test some cars in the basement. I hafta make sure I'm good and slow for next weds races. Wouldn't wanna worry people by getting fast.

I just got back from my road trip with my son, the LT, as he was moving from WPAFB in Dayton, OH to PAFB in Melbourne, FL. We had a great time hanging out, went to a close family friend's wedding in Pigeon Forge, TN on the way, listened to lots of Weird Al, watched lots of Mel Brooks, and got him settled. I really miss having him home and with him getting married in June, I knew it would be a good trip to make. His new apartment is really nice, his goods showed up undamaged, and the base and area is great. We hit RonJons while there too just for giggles.

Have a big hobby order going to Germany to finish (I've got 25/50 kits ready) and some regular (and easier!) orders as well.

I'm cutting down three dead Aspen trees and preparing the area for some new trees I hope to plant next week.

I also did a little video I'll post in a bit.
