One of my grandkids decided to push my carrera and scalectric cars around on the carpet. Needless to say, the brushes are wasted. My question is can I change out the brushes with the standard brushes the I get from SCC with those cut to length or do I need to get the special ones that have the metal between the brushes?

Thanks Harry, I forgot about the ones in the cases. Sometimes I just jump to conclusions to fast when in distress. The one Scaley that got its brushes destroyed was my favorite 69 mustang that can zip around my track in 4.94 seconds per lap where the normal is around 6.5 to 8.5 seconds. I'll just put some spares on order and start keeping the cars off the track unless I'm running them. Thanks for the offer though.

Don't forget to check the axle bushings for lint and pet hair if you have any pets.

The joys of the little ones! As long as they had fun, their love makes up for the couple of lost lap time seconds a million times over.

If you're really bored, you can open up the Carrera braid holders and replace with SCC braid, I did.
