Slot Racing Skills vs Other Important Skills in Life

Postby pgtr » Thu Jun 04, 2015 8:14 pm

Some activities/skills can be detrimental to others. For example I've found in my experience that good habits in downhill skiing have to be unlearned for snowboarding or likewise racquetball vs tennis and prudent financial management of one's retirement portfolio vs say gambling. You get the idea.

How many people have found that running hobby class R/C cars or trucks outside benefit from good slot skills? Require unlearning of slot racing habits? Or have no real effect either way?

Thanks

I think that it helps. used race off road and on road for a good 20 years or so. just had to give it up in the last 5 years because of work. that is when I found the world of 1/32 slot cars for my racing fix. only thing I had to remember that there was not a steering wheel on my throttle control. same finger running the throttle
