TGIF - Back at it

It has been a busy week around here. Oldest son and his wife arrived last Friday and spent the week visiting. It was great seeing them and we had some fun to say the least.

Now it's back to the projects :)

As you can see, Shotgun Dave has been busy with some great videos. I'll be updating the Garage pages with links to these and other tech tips very soon. These are the kind of things that really help folks, so share them with others if you can.

Hope all of you have a great weekend.

Crazy week here! All the weather in the news has been mostly north of us - not to say we haven't had our share of crazy thunderstorms but no flooding or anything like that. Funny enough, it completely missed us yesterday and we watched probably the most impressive lightning storm to the north of us in Denver around 10pm. Long streaks of rope lightning going cloud to cloud nonstop. Absolutely stunning!

One more week until the LT's wedding, so lots still going on around that. Can't wait to see him!

I had planned on putting up the sun sails tomorrow, but I think I'll wait another week due to the weather - I don't feel like watching hail shred those LOL!

A few orders, a new rapid-prototype body to submit for printing and awaiting some new controllers for the PDR to show up. I have been using Parma 45's for years ( I actually sold my PM silvers years ago) but they are getting very worn out and with Parma's issues, finding new ones under $30 is becoming difficult. So, I just ordered the PM silvers again LOL.

I've been coughing my lungs up for weeks, so bad that I pulled a muscle in my back. But I am almost 100% at last, as of now. I'm going to get started on a 1930 Bentley Blower 4.5L. I spent the last couple of weeks getting parts organized and today I get started.

My week has been crazy, started Monday when I rushed the wife to ER for chest pains that turned out to be Bronchitis turning into early stage of Emphysema

Got her home fast forward to Thursday she took a fall down some basement steps at a friends house and now has a broken bone in her upper arm going into the shoulder

Keep my wife in your thoughts, she has surgery Thursday

Run a few laps for me this weekend

Putting the finishing touches on the new track this weekend. Timing system from Shotgun just came in, and will be installed tonight!
Then some much needed clean up of the whole shop area. It would be nice to be able to walk in there and actually find my tracks.
hope everyone has a great weekend!

Jon. hope all goes well for your better half!

Bob

Tomorrow I plan of attending a race put on by the Barn Burners slot Car Club at Moss Motors just outside of Petersburg, Virginia. This event will be put on in conjunction with a car show that already has 335 entries consisting of British Sports cars and Mazda Miatas. The last couple of days I have had a great time speaking with the current Mr. Moss, seeing his father's MG TD and his super charged Triumph TR 4.

We all know that an undertaking of this magnitude will either be one of the best things for the club or could be heartbreak depending on how the track and computer system works but no matter the result a large Ata Boy has to go out to club founder, Joe Brimer for having the courage to take on such an undertaking.

Jon...Sending good thoughts your way with hope that all goes well for your wife.

Now that things are drying out here in Houston, I have my a longer than usual to do list to complete. However, I hope to find time to do some work on the track. Slowly but surely...
