Been a long week around here. My 1:1 job has really had me busy and not leaving much time for fun. But looks like a break is coming so I can get back to the real work around here.
The MODWARS cars are in and will try and get them all raced this weekend. I won't do a streaming event as I will likely have to balance the race with other chores The General and certain little grandchildren have in store for me.
Seeing these MODWARS cars is a treat though. Looking at these custom beauties just shows how good we have it these days. Plus it certainly tells you that scratchbuilding is alive and well in our hobby.
Hope all of you have a great weekend and find some trigger time.

Hope you catch a break soon at the Job Harry, that can be stressful, and nobody needs that!
Whenever you get to run the Mods, you will have a blast with them. they are some of the most fun cars I have ran at my track.
I have a ton of clean up to do in the shop/ race rooms after the hill climb build. and then I can get back to some serious building and casting.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Bob

Maybe, if I am lucky my friend Garold will be able to make significant progress this weekend toward getting DeBary Glen back up and running. I just got a new slot.it Nissan R89-C and I want to see how it runs.

The LT gets married tomorrow, so we are just a little busy at the moment...
The good news is that he raced for awhile with me. He hasn't done that in years, so it could be he was just pitying his old man, but he seemed to have fun and was fascinated with the fuel strategy and my new PM controllers. We ran two old Fly C5R Corvettes that I just tuned with PGT tires after getting those for my dad. We had some close racing and I realized he never ran on the routed PDR ever since he's been in school or away for all these years. The squeezes surprised him as he wasn't ready for close contact, but after about 3 laps he put up a heck of a fight and it was like he never left. We changed to some T/A cars and Fly March GP cars after that.
We are on the millionth day of rain and my ark is almost complete. The good news is that the wedding day tomorrow is supposed to be nice.

It is the last day of school for my teacher wife. Commencing tomorrow it is summer vacation time! Looking forward to spending a lot of time at the various beaches this summer. We'll start with a 3 day backpacking trek on the lost coast next week.

Not much track time this weekend, getting the trailer ready for camping with my grandsons.
And I have to make some repairs to the truck, seems a Cadillac picked a fight with it yesterday.
The Caddy didn't fair to well, but I have to secure the right headlight and turn signal on the truck.
Time to break out the 300 mph tape until it gets to the body shop.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate for a nice camping trip.
Have a good one guys and gals.

Well when does it end? Too much time spent at work the last few months and no end in sight. 6 day work weeks have really got in the way of my hobby and we were told to plan staying at 6 days a week until the end of the year and if we get a extra day off, consider a bonus.
Moving out of my house at the end of the month too. I really could use a slot car vacation! That Southwest quote "wanna get away" sure does sound about right.
With all that said, I do have a few projects on the bench I put off that I plan to finish up before the move. Other than running a few laps here and there when time allows is about all I have, but its keeping the addiction alive!! :D

Dang, Lee. I missed you and wondered what was up. Look at it this way... You are gonna get slot car funding-rich from all this overtime! Start making a list!
