1,2,5 at Le Mans today. Three different color schemes.

I'm glad it won but Porsche beating Audi is kind of like a Camaro beating a Firebird. I would have much preferred seeing Mercedes Benz jumping back into the fray and winning by ten laps.

Bob D., that jump will probably happen, but not in the WEC/Le Mans racing. This was Audi's last year in WEC/Le Mans; they won't be back anytime soon; a decision made by their owner; Volkswagon (announced long prior to this year's Le Mans race) and they're also rumored to be bowing out of the German DTM series. What appears to be in the wind is an Audi/Mercedes confrontation in F1. Red bull is pressuring Audi to supply engines in 2016 and Audi is making noises that it could happen. If that's a go, then F1 could get really interesting again, since an Audi/Mercedes duel in the premier open wheel series hasn't taken place since before 1950, when the two used to go at it regularly for the top spot in that series.

We'll see what develops as the year goes on............
