Thanks, guys. This thing is a wild one and I'm really getting into it. I painted the driver tonight and the tonneau he sits in. Building something that is only "sort of" based on a real car is a blast! I hope it runs good. That would be a let-down, but still, this is fun.
David, did you ever get up to the Peak to see the races? I copied this thing from old pictures.

Front wheel drive..............should be interesting. Are you sending this off the Bob's Hillclimb?

Look closer Allan
What you are seeing as a trunk is really a VW hood.

Great build by the way.
Love the motor detail!

Thanks for the save, way, but I simply bobbled that one. I thought that the "motor was in the front.............." HA, HA!
But, you know; kind of makes me wonder.............if one of the challenges on a hillclimb is tail-outs in the corners, then why not have a car that pulls through the corners..............?
Looks great! Good luck with the Dragon!

I worked very hard on an entry for the Autograss Challenge that was prototypical front wheel drive, and no matter what I did, to get enough weight on the front axle to get a grip, it barely made it around the track. If it had been a body with more room up front, I might have been able to get the lever moment at a decent angle, but with the motor behind the axle and no room at all up front for weight, it was doomed. I eventually gave up and tried to build another entry, but ran out of time.
