I finished up a couple of projects this weekend and got to run some newly acquired cars in the same category (Cartrix GP). The D50 (PP) and Maserati AG6 (vintage Dubro) are both mounted to PP Chassis w/ 14,000 rpm M-1 FF motors and Racer Wheels. They fit right in with the Cartrix cars. I'm waiting on my Cartrix Lotus and Bhugatti to arrive to round out the collection. I'll get an Alfa, Porsche and Ferrari and I'll have all the Cartrix cars I want.

Great collection! I have almost all of the Cartrix gp cars.. only lacking the elusive, expensive, Mercedes.
They are fun cars to run.

Yes they are Bob! re motored all except the BRM (which I bought used). NC-1 or equivalent motors, new pinions, glued wheels to axle and urethane or rubber replacement tires, glued motor and bearings. Super fun now!
I'm certain most of the expense is tied to the presentation box, stand, etc. These cars seem to be more "shelf queen" than slot car as the quality control and build quality aren't special. However, most of these cars aren't offered by anyone else in rtr form and once fiddled with, they are really nice runners. Presently, they are selling for about 1/2 what they used to go for which seems appropriate.
