TGIF - It's getting to be that time

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Fri Sep 18, 2015 8:14 am

Yes, it's getting that time of year. Dave K gave us a container report that pretty muck marks the beginning of "new toy season".

Looks like things will be be very busy in the next couple of weeks. And as we creep into Slotober, it will just get better.

So I want to wish all of you the best of luck in trying to keep up. I hope your paypal accounts are in shape...they are going to get a workout :o

We have family in this weekend for visiting and the hometown fall festival "Cow days" going on. I will be sort of out of touch compared to most times, but I will answer email/pm as soon as possible.

Have a great weekend folks!!

I hope one of those cows contributes a big, thick steak for the grill.

I am spiffing up the place for a visit from our eldest daughter who is coming for a 5 day visit. I put the last pieces, a used XLC that I bought off of ebay into my portable SSD track. It and a stabdard R2 curve replaces the last of the CLC's that I had in my track. Now I can permanently attach the last of my wooden borders fill, any gaps and begin final painting.

First things First, Jon look after that little lady of yours, the rest is just toy cars.

Well tomorrow me and my best buddy ( my 3 yr old grandson ) are off to, the Picton Hobby and Train show for the day. I pick him up at 9am and then we meet up with his parents at 5 at East Side Marios for dinner.
Best part of the day is being with my little buddy as he sees all the wonderous things and his excitement bubbles over. He figures if he goes to bed early tonight , tomorrow will get here sooner.
Thats my boy.

Jon, best wishes to your wife.

We are headed to Milwaukee tomorrow. Our son will pick up our daughter from school and they meet us downtown in Milwaukee, he is rowing in an alum boat in the Milwaukee River Challenge. Always a fun time in Milwaukee, how can you say anything bad about a state that with every Bloody Mary you get a beer chaser!
May try to convince the family to make a pit stop at the hobby shop while we are up there.
Here is a pic from last year
