Thrift hauler

I have been a fan of many members' car haulers for a long time. Not having the scratch for a spendy kit, I had figured that I was going to have to "scratch" my own together.
Fortunately I was walking the grandson down the toy aisle at the local thrift shop and found this for $3:

It will need tires, but I am pretty sure I can make that happen easily enough. Decent enough for scenery, at least.
The Artin Porsche fits nicely on there......I need to find some nice Mobil 1 decals and make a new livery, I think.....

Cool find.

Also this thread confirms that Chappy and Chappyman are two different people.
I have been confused for some time about that.

Get out the spray paint and go with Italian red! Paul that will make a nice scenery piece or you might even motorize it.

Chappyman66 is a "different" character! Just joking, Paul is one of the original Columbus, Ohio group called the CLAMS. Back in the early 90's those guys were an integral part of the old AOL slot car forum, which lead to the 1/32 slots forum started by Dave England. This was before we had all the modern slot car items and we were busy just trying to make our own parts to run our 60's slot cars! We shared a lot of info and the HRW forum is the closest thing to our early forums.
Paul howe about some pix of the track?

Good looking hauler, I've got one of those somewhere.
