I goofed up and bought a digital SCX Cuda! Thought I had finally found a Swede car to go with the Gurney version. Much to my disapointment, upon arrival I realized the durn thing is digital. So, I hoping someone can fill me in on how to convert this car to analog.

I did the same thing. Get a replacement SCX guide. I removed the digital chip and accessories and wired the motor leads direct.

Can you post a pic. I tried fitting an analog guide and it didn't seem to fit well. A lot of "slop" was noticeable.

Paul, If your car does not have the thin copper strips that run under the guide, you will have to fab some, or rob them from a donor car. The Digital guide will need to be replaced with the SCX Analog guide, as there is no opening in the Guide mount for traditional wires.
I just did a conversion on an SCX digital Nascar. I used parts from a junked SCX sports car, and soldered the chicken legs to the strips.
